Gasthaus Laubacher Wald in Laubach

Although I am a Laubacher myself and have many friends who work in service or in the kitchen, I am not convinced of the restaurant. The explanation: the host is very moody. When ordering in the small area, you are almost ignored. I think it's a shame that small orders are only delivered after 1 hour, even with frequent inquiries. Especially if you are not wearing the best clothes after a walk in the forest, you often wait a long time. I can't say anything negative about the prices, but it's a shame that this attitude prevails in this company. I hope that my experiences were isolated cases, but I wanted to share this experience.

It was delicious again. To be able to enjoy the meal in a cozy dining room with nice staff is definitely a reason to stay there.

Delicious food: Today we ate a game dish (deer) and hunter schnitzel. Friendly staff, good service. Adequate price-performance ratio.

Extremely unfriendly! We recently celebrated weddings in a nearby hotel and booked rooms for some of our guests in the Gasthaus Laubacher Wald. All the phone calls we made with the gentleman at reception were hard to beat in terms of rudeness. There was simply no response to e-mails and when asked whether our e-mail had not arrived, it was made clear that this must be our mistake. Our guests told us they liked the rooms, but due to the poor communication beforehand, we would not recommend this accommodation to others.

We did not like it so much, but unfortunately I got a somewhat musty answer to a general question about the surroundings. One might think that the gentleman behind the counter is just as often here as me, not at all. My food, a jägerschnitzel, was too expensive for the quality and Anrichteweise, also it was so hard and firm. I will certainly not be here again.

The food was excellent. A very wide range of Hessian cuisine with fresh ingredients. We were thrilled and will certainly come back.

We had the pleasure to stay at Gasthaus Laubacher Wald last week. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. What made our stay particularly good was the hospitality of the owner and his staff who looked after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good too!
